In optical communication networks, high-quality optical connectors and optical adapters are essential for connecting optical devices, modules, and fibers reliably. Orbray offers optical connectors that use the highest-quality zirconia ferrules manufactured in-house, along with optical adapters designed to support a wide range of applications.
Our optical connectors use high-precision φ2.5 mm or φ1.25 mm zirconia ferrules, ensuring low-loss and stable optical connections. Optical adapters are also important when connecting devices of different standards. Supporting common standards such as FC, SC, MU, and LC, our connectors can be used in a wide range of applications, including data centers, communications infrastructure, and industrial applications.
Optical connectors
Optical connectors are optical communication components found on the ends of optical fiber cables. They connect optical devices with optical modules. As communications systems achieve higher speeds and greater capacities, highly accurate connections that minimize optical signal loss are becoming increasingly important.

Product lineup
| FC Connector | A screw-type connector that has been used since the early days of optical communication. Most used in applications requiring high mechanical stability, such as single-mode fiber systems, measuring instruments, and communications equipment. |
| SC Connector | A push-pull connector for easy connection and disconnection. Widely used as a standard, general-purpose connector across a broad range of optical communication systems. |
| MU Connector | Designed to meet miniaturization requirements. Its small ferrule diameter (1.25 mm, half the size of SC) is well suited for high-density wiring applications. |
| LC Connector | A compact connector designed for high-density wiring. Widely used in data centers and modern optical networks, where space efficiency and reliable performance are critical. |
Optical adapters
Optical adapters are devices that connect two optical connectors to function as a relay. In addition to standard adapters that connect devices of the same standard, Orbray also offers optical conversion adapters designed to connect connectors of different standards.
Optical converter technology
When ferrule outer diameters are the same (φ1.25 mm), such as between LC and MU connectors, achieving a stable connection is straightforward. However, connecting connectors with different ferrule outer diameters, such as SC connectors (φ2.5 mm) and LC, connectors (φ1.25 mm) requires specialized optical design and high-precision machining. Orbray leverages its long-standing zirconia ferrule manufacturing expertise to produce high-quality optical conversion adapters with consistent and reliable optical performance.
