Blaublitz Akita Ski School 2026

The "Blaublitz Akita Ski School," now in its third year, was held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 (a public holiday) at Tengamori Ski Resort. Approximately 20 children of employees from our Yuzawa and Yokote factories participated in this event.
Orbray cooperates with the ski school organized by the NPO Blaublitz Akita Sports Network, established by Blaublitz Akita, a professional soccer team in Akita. This ski school is held annually on winter weekends at Tengamori Ski Resort in Yokote City, as part of the activities aimed at promoting sports and developing athletes.
Although there was concern about the weather, with an 80% chance of rain until the day before, the children's energy and power gradually brought clear skies on the day, making it a perfect time for skiing. The event also attracted media attention, with a TV crew covering it.
On the day, 10 instructors enthusiastically provided guidance, with each participant receiving a full two hours of almost one-on-one instruction tailored to their individual level. Some of the children participating for the first time had never ridden a lift before, but with the support of the instructors, they slowly glided down from the top in a "pizza" wedge, a sight that impressed their parents, who watched intently.
When the children succeeded, the instructors praised them with "Amazing, amazing!" and "Good job, good job!", and high-fived them to share their joy. This communication, which boosted the children's motivation and confidence, transformed the initially nervous children into beaming smiles by the end of the session.

Tengamori Ski Resort (Masuda-cho, Yokote City) is ideal for fledgling skiers and easy practice, with many gentle slopes. On weekends, it is so popular that the parking lot fills up, bustling with families. The new facility, which just reopened in 2024, is an all-season leisure spot that transforms from a golf course in summer to a ski resort in winter.
During the waiting time, we received a treat of UCHINO DOUGHNUTS. The fluffy and delicious doughnuts sparked conversations among the parents, with many asking, "Where are these from?"
"UCHINO DOUGHNUTS!"

A specialty of Tengamori Ski Resort is teuchi soba sanpei at Natsumushizawa Hutte. If you go early in the morning, you can watch through the glass as the staff makes handmade soba. We had the ebi-ten soba for lunch. The sweet sauce, generous portion, and satisfying taste were perfect for warming up after being out in the cold.
After the ski school, we received many comments from the parents. A few are shared below.
- My child, who had little experience with lifts and ropes, was happy to feel their own improvement thanks to the careful instruction.
- All the instructors praised the children a lot, so my child always felt "much better about skiing" and had fun. It's very helpful, because it's hard to achieve this with just parents and children.
- My child, who is just starting to ski, received very attentive one-on-one instruction from an instructor. The two hours flew by for my child, who enjoyed it so much that they said, "I want to ski again next weekend.

Through careful, professional instruction and meticulous support tailored to each participant's level, the children were able to achieve significant growth in a short time. Many parents expressed their desire to "participate again!", making it a very popular event.
We hope that through this school, children will discover the joy of skiing, and that it will inspire them to take on the challenge of competitive sports in the future.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the instructors, who warmly guided each child with dedication.
Orbray will continue to support the healthy growth of children through regional sports promotion activities.
We plan to hold the event again next year, so we look forward to seeing you on the snow!
