Micro Mechanism
In recent years, Minimal Invasive Surgery(MIS,) which minimizes surgery incisions and shortens a patient’s recovery period has been common to reduce trauma to the patient’s body. This type of surgery is performed by inserting an endoscope and forceps into a tiny hole in a patients’ body. There have been many studies using MIS techniques such as Multi-Port Surgery and Single-Port Surgery and the studies continue to achieve even better methods such as Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery which accesses the patient’s body through the alimentary canal.
Robotic and forceps technologies that enable ambidexterity movements in a limited incision opening and space play a big role in MIS studies. In particular, the application of a medical robot accomplishes much more complicated movements than what human hands can perform.
Our Micro mechanism combining our micro motor technology, precision part processing technology and precision assembling technology contributes to the development of this precise robotic forceps.
Orbray will continue to pursue the research and development of micro mechanism in order to become a leading company in the future of MIS.
