Third Year of Our Annual Event, with First-Time Repeat Participants!
The "Women's Factory Tour ~SWEETS & SUCCESS~" celebrated its third year this year.
We were delighted to welcome our first repeat participants, with a total of 14 attendees: 12 high school students, one female teacher, and one young working professional. It was a very meaningful experience not only for the high school students interested in Orbray as a potential employer after graduation, but also for the female teacher in charge of career guidance.
Once again, the event was planned and organized by our female employees.
As I wrote in the column after the first event, "Students who participate will one day return to Orbray as employees and stay to eventually become the most experienced and knowledgeable contributors to Orbray’s future, "this wonderful connection has continued this year, creating a beautiful cycle.
New Initiatives This Year
The day's content included an introduction to our company, a factory tour, a discussion session with senior employees over sweets, and a talk by our president. This year, with the cooperation of our factory floor employees, we added a new hands-on work experience: "Watch Jewel Sorting."
Experience Real Work! "Watch Jewel Sorting"

To help participants better envision working at Orbray, we had them try sorting three sizes of rubies (φ1.4mm, φ0.9mm, and φ0.6mm), using tweezers to transfer them into the appropriate cases.
When demonstrated by our factory employees, the task looked deceptively simple with their skilled hands. However, when participants actually tried it, they found it extremely difficult—not a single participant could complete the task within the time limit!
It was a moment that revealed just how excellent our employees' daily work truly is. Of course, we made sure to reassure the participants by saying, "After joining the company, senior employees will teach you carefully, and this is not the only type of work we do," which helped put their minds at ease.
Heartwarming Touches
We also added an uplifting element by distributing personalized message cards from senior employees to each participant, making the event feel even more special.
Participant Feedback
100% Maximum Satisfaction Rating! ★★★★★
In the survey, all participants gave the highest satisfaction rating of "5."
While the president's talk has been well-received every year, the hands-on work experience proved to be the second most popular segment after the factory tour (which received unanimous votes).
Popular Content! About the Hands-on Work Experience
"The hands-on work experience was a learning opportunity in an experiential format, which was really valuable."
"I thought the hands-on work experience had an appeal that other companies don't offer."
"Having actual work experience, not just tours and explanations, deepened my understanding."
"Being able to actually experience the work was fun!!"
About the Heartwarming Hospitality

The most prominent comments in the feedback were about the atmosphere created by the president and employees. We're delighted that the spirit of "One Company, One Family" came through, and we hope that in the future, the families of high school students will also participate and experience this atmosphere.
"I went alone from my school, but all the employees treated me kindly."
"Everyone guided us courteously throughout, and I felt everyone's hospitality."
"I was very impressed by how the president values each and every employee."
"I can clearly see that this is a company that will nurture students with care."
"I'm grateful for the heartfelt hospitality, including the personalized message cards prepared for each person."
Comments from the Organizers
◯ Earlier this year, FM Akita radio featured our event, and many people participated. I could really feel that our company's recognition is growing.
While everyone enjoyed the discussion session over sweets, I hope to devise ways to make the conversations even more lively in the future.
This time as well, high school participants applied for our recruitment process and received job offers, so I'm thrilled that these wonderful connections continue.
◯ We had several participants for whom this wasn't their first encounter with us—including those who participated last year and those who had come for internships.
I was truly happy that they thought "I want to come again" and took the time out of their busy schedules to visit us. I remember feeling a sense of mission to "not let them get bored even on their second visit," which led me to reconsider the content of the tour.
As in previous years, we were able to successfully conclude the event thanks to the participation and support of many people, including our president Riyako and the senior employees in the discussion session, along with special cooperation this year from our factory floor employees. As organizers of this event, we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude.
